Academy Award-winner Jared Leto's passion project, this band's fifth album boasted a reinvented sound and needed a striking outdoor campaign to get people talking. Bold teaser visuals conceived by Leto himself were placed in high visibility locations chosen to target social media users. Historic Sunset Boulevard, with its ties to so many timeless rock acts, became the focus with multiple billboard buys and a stunt worthy of a rock star: we wrapped a double decker bus, put a choir on board, and then went from billboard to billboard for a series of highly-publicized concerts that succeeded in getting the album to trend worldwide on Instagram and Twitter. A perfect example of how traditional outdoor advertising can impact digital impressions.
